Al-Asad House for Culture the Arts


This house overlooks the Umayyad circle from the South Eastern corner  , just behind the monument of the Damascene Sword , and opposite the al-Asad National Library it consists:

The main Hall – Opera "C"

The main hall contains a theater with 1500 seats
There is a large stage furnished and supplied with all the drama equipment and services required for this purpose;
 It was designed as per the system of ready-scenes suspended within the tower concerned, allowing the storage about eighty scenes,
It also has an automatically moving stage consisting of six separate divisions mounted on special lifts, allowing and permitting different possibilities of performance, along with backstage and all the necessary equipment.

At the front of the stage, there is an orchestra pit with space for 110 musicians.

Drama Hall B

This can contain 750 people, furnished with the suspended sconces and organized backstage with all the necessary equipment, along with an orchestral group of 40 musicians.

The hall is distinguished by its shape,  surrounding the stage in a circle.

The seats are distributed as follows:
The lower hall – the upper amphitheater – and a special compartment for VIPs, connecting with a rest area supplied with all the required services.

Multi-Functions Hall B

This contains 350 people  with seats mounted on wheels,  which can be re- distributed  to suit different activities  , such as small drama activities , experimental theatre , small concerts and cinema , as well as fashion shows, lectures and seminars .
